Your shading technique is incredible. How do you get the pencil shading so smooth? And also, how do you make the black stand out so much as well?

its just the way ive learned how to shade, just with the pencil until the area looks smooth enough, and the black and white i thinks its kind of a visual effect, because of the ligh effects and everything makes black stand out more, mmm now that i think about it i have been doing this kind of by inertia but at the same time conscious of it

do you use a blending pencil to blend shadows like this? If you don't... i think my brain exploded. The shading is just so darn amazing.

i meant a piece of paper that's been rolled up in a pencil shape and you use that to blend the lead into a more seamless shading. I think it was called a tortillin or somethin like that.

mmm no ,actually i have never used that technique , if i used it i would find it more difficult to do the shading cause im used to do it with pencil in my own way, its gotten easier for me that way
